A bespoke traditional style painted panelled wardrobe for a farmhouse bedroom made by the experienced carpenters of Malvern Hills Furniture Ltd.
The facade is made from tulipwood and it is painted in three coats of Farrow & Ball Pavilion Gray. The carcasses are made from Quebec and are finished with clear satin varnish. It has solid mahogany door handles.
Jack is making a traditional painted wardrobe with a curved door. Dimensions are 2630 mm wide x 2120 mm high x 600 mm deep. The facade is made from tulipwood. The plinth of the wardrobe matches the skirting in the room. This is a complex and skilful job for our highly experienced joiner.
The above floor to ceiling wardrobes were made and fitted in a 17th Century cruck barn. The floors and walls were uneven and the wardrobe had to accommodate this. The wardrobe is in-frame painted with Farrow & Ball paint. The carcasses are clear varnish Quebec pine and the fittings are pewter.
