Our design brief was to open up the kitchen into the conservatory, to bring light into what was a dimly lit space. To achieve a light and airy feel to the room, we co-ordinated the unit colours, the worktop, flooring and room decorations. We decided to go with a neutral colour scheme with a contrast of pastel blue for the appliances and hints of Oak around the room, which includes the surround over the cooker, the feature posts either side of the welsh dresser and the arm rests on the bench. The unit colours are painted in Farrow & Ball ‘Elephants Breath’ and the island is ‘Skylight’. The worktop is Silestone ‘Aluminio Nube’ – a pale shade to reflect light.
Some of the many interesting features in this kitchen are the external Gothic style window, the internal stained glass panel and the bench with the storage, which is built-in to the back of the sink unit.
The complete project is an absolute transformation and our client said that they are “so pleased that they finally have their dream kitchen”.
